What to Expect at Your Cake Smash Session!
Welcome to your little one’s Cake Smash experience! Whether it’s their first time in front of the camera or they’re already a mini model, we’re here to make the session as enjoyable and relaxed as possible.
Getting Settled
When you arrive, we’ll take as much time as your little one needs to get comfortable in their new surroundings. Some babies prefer to sit and cuddle with Mum or Dad for the first few minutes—and that’s perfectly okay! We’re never in a rush. Our goal is to ensure everyone feels relaxed and ready for some fun.
Capturing the First Moments
Once your baby feels at ease, we’ll begin with some portraits. This is a great opportunity for Mum, Dad, and siblings to join in for some heart-warming family shots. We’ll capture smiles both on the floor and on our specially designed curved stool.
Time for Cake!
Next, it’s cake time! We’ll transfer your cake onto our beautiful cake stand, and let your little one dive into the fun. We believe in letting babies explore the cake at their own pace. If they need a little guidance or encouragement, you or their siblings can jump in to show them how it’s done or offer a little taste.
Not a Fan of Mess? No Problem!
If your baby isn’t too keen on getting messy, no worries! We have wooden spoons on hand to help them smash the cake in their own way. When they’re ready, we’ll transition to the next part of the session.
Splish Splash Time!
The final part of the session is often the favourite—our bubble-filled metal tub! Here, your baby can clean up, splash around, and have a blast. This part is all about relaxation and fun, and it’s where we capture some of the happiest, most carefree moments.
After the Session
Once the session is complete, I’ll carefully sort and edit the best images. These will be uploaded to a private online gallery for you to view at your convenience. From there, you can choose and download your favourite photos. If you’d like, you can also order prints, wall art, photo books, or other special keepsakes directly from the gallery.
