So you've booked your Cake Smash session, filled out your contract and paid your retainer fee! Now it's time to get ready to make memories and enjoy that big first birthday milestone!

Gather your ideas and choose a theme for the session (We have lots of themes to choose from or send us your ideas and we'll create something new!). You'll also need a cake - we do not provide it and so you will need to bring one with you. We would advise to bring a cake with buttercream icing as this is easiest to smash. We would also suggest avoiding Red / Chocolate cakes as these don't look as appealing once smashed.

We have a selection of outfits available for your little one to use during the session but you are also more than welcome to bring your own. There's time for an outfit change if requested too!

When preparing for your Cake Smash session and to help make the experience as smooth and successful as possible, be sure that your baby is well rested, feeling well, and just a little bit peckish. In terms of what to bring with you - you don't need much! A towel for after the bath splash, a drink for your little one and a couple of their favourite toys (just in case shyness tries to get in the way of those amazing smiles).
